For most the holidays means long hours, lack of sleep, poor diet, lots of emotions and of course weather changes, but how does this affect your skin?

Each of these is a skin stressor but here are some ways to minimize/avoid the downsides of holiday stress!

You’ll meet estheticians and facial specialists who cut corners or push services and products just for profit. Stay grounded in your integrity, your reputation and client trust will always be worth more than quick success.

2️⃣ The Importance of Continuing Education
Graduating esthetics school is just the starting line. The more you learn, the more you earn and the better results you’ll deliver to each and every client. Keep evolving with the industry but stay true to your "why".

3️⃣ How to Set Boundaries
Clients, coworkers, even yourself, boundaries protect your peace and your professionalism. You can’t pour from an empty cup, and burnout helps no one in the end not even that client you squeezed in on vacation.

3 mistakes I see other estheticians making...

One size fits all services are outdated! Each person's skin is unique to them, their conditions, types and the way their skin reacts. It's not a "oh this facial works for all 40yr old clients" it's a "let's customize this to fit where your skin is at now and build to meet your goals" world.

Not seeking continued education is most likely why you feel like you're failing. The esthetic industry grows and changes by the day if not by the hour! Keep learning, growing and seeking to improve as new products, treatments and information is released. Your education does not stop after esthetics school if anything, this is when the real education starts!

and lastly viewing other estheticians as competition. Did you know there are roughly 183,000 licensed estheticians in the US? WHAT "how are there so many", "it's so over crowed" and "there aren't enough clients to go around!" Wrong. There are roughly 342 MILLION people living in the US. Do you know how many clients that gives each esthetician if each person sought your services? About 2k... yeah IDK about you but while servicing 2k different faces a year sounds amazing, yikes I need you! That's a lot of faces to go around! Don't compete, collaborate, trade, educate each other and do your best to make us esty's look good!
